I suddenly have a problem today with my Win XP taskbar. Minimized programs no
longer show on the bar, I have to use alt-tab to switch to programs. Also,
all the icons on the bar are displayed, there seems to be no way for me to
slide the "marker" to the left to hide some of the icons. In fact the
"marker" or divider that is usually on the right end of the icons is not
present. Is there an easy fix for this?

Here I am replying to myself:
I "restored" the system to the day before and the problem was fixed without
using the *.vbs files from Kellys Korner.

NOT SURE ABOUT THE MINIMISED PROGS BUT WITH REGARD TO HIDING ICONS, YOU
HAVE LOCKED THE TASKBAR AND THTS Y THE SLIDER IS MISSING. RIGHT CLICK ON
TASKBAR AND CLICK LOCK THE TASKBAR, (THE TICK BY THE SIDE OF LOCK THE
TASKBAR SHOULD HAVE DISAPPEARED) ENABLING YOU TO VIEW THE SLIDER SO THAT
YOU MAY HIDE SOME ICONS.
