1. The partner has received instructions from the client to prepare an
agreement. He then creates a task to remind him that it is due in ten days
and he assigns this same task to his worker, Mr. A. Upon clicking the send
button, he then checks to see the task. It is not found in his task list.
When a task is assigned to Mr. A, it does not keep the a record.

Question : How will he keep track to see if Mr. A has done the agreement
before the 10th day. How will he monitor this task?

He could grant Mr. A access to his own tasks folder - and *not* assign the
task.
He might also ask Mr. A if he's done it.

Thank you for your reply but how can I grant Mr. A to access that particular
task by not assigning.

You can assign Mr. A rights to the entire tasks folder, but not to an
individual item only.

Opps! It doesn't work that way. We are a law firm and we have certain
lawyers assigned to certain partners. A lawyer may not work for one partner
only. A case is given to a lawyer best suited for that job. I am confused
with the task module. The partner is basically trying to train and help
lawyers to organise their work and he wants to be in a position to monitor
them and not do the work himself. Would appreciate if you could brain storm
this difficult and confusing matter. Thank you.

You either set up a public tasks folder (and don't assign tasks) and set
permissions on it, or you share out peoples' tasks folders and the partner
goes in to look at them, or you assign a task and then you find out whether
the person did the job you assigned them based on their marking the task
completed, which is the whole point of assigning a task in the first place.

Or, the partner can go stand over the employee's shoulder. ;-)

.....I should have mentioned/asked... the partner *is* leaving the default
"keep an updated copy of this task in my tasks folder" checkmark, right?
