task scheduler

All,

For some reason my task scheduler service fail to start.
The error is:

Could not start ask Scheduler service on local computer.

Error 1053: The service did not rerspond to the start or
control request in a timely fashion.

Can anyone offer a remedy or direct me to the fix?

Hello

Try steps fiven below.

CAUSE
=====
This error message can occur if the Read-Only attribute has been set on the
Schedlgu.txt file.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this problem:

1. Start Windows Explorer.

2. Locate the Schedlgu.txt file in the %SystemRoot% folder.

3. Right-click the Schedlgu.txt file, and then click Properties.

4. Clear the "Read-only" check box, and then click OK.

file and the read only was not selected. Any other
thoughts>
