Hello, I am running a Windows 2000 Server with some tasks
scheduled to run. The problem I am running into is that
now when the tasks run, they don't appear, eg. they run in
the background. I am running the tasks as the same user I
am logged on as. I can't seem to find any information on
what could cause this. Can anyone help or is this another
mysterious anomaly? Any help is appreciated.

They are supposed to run in the background.
Unless it's an application that displays a window.

I would like a few tasks to interact with the desktop, such as, disk cleanup
& ad-aware.

If you have to interact with them, then just launch them and interact
with them; don't run them as scheduled tasks.

I would like to have my Norton Liveupdate work automatically among with the
other applications so I don't have to worry about running them manually.
I would like the applications to display a window.

I never see my LiveUpdate run. I know it does because the virsu defs
get updated. There is no way to get Scheduled Tasks to interface with
the desktop.

Cheers,

Cliff

That is the exact problem I am having. The tasks that I
run displays a window, however now they are just running
in the background. I did a test and setup notepad to run
and it never displays anymore. I need to know what could
cause this, and/or how to fix it.
