Task Scheduler won't Run on W2K Server

Hi, I've got a W2K server that will not execute any tasks
(even calc.exe) with the Task Scheduler. The log gives a
completion error of "Result: The task completed with an
exit code of (1)." The Task Scheduler applet indicates
that the job is running but never stops, and a look in the
Task Manager shows that the .bat, .exe, etc. isn't
running. The job starts, but the program its calling
doesn't.

I've tried changing the account the task runs under from
Domain Admin (me) to local admin, tried being logged in as
myself and local admin, tried deleting and re-adding the
tasks, no luck.

Any suggestions?

Hi again,

I figured it out- I routinely log into this server with
RDP. Apparently, some applications will not run well
under TS, even some native Windows processes, but some 3rd
party too (Backup Exec, for example.) I began to suspect
that, walked to the server, logged in locally and
everything worked fine.
