I am having a problem getting scheduled tasks to run. Checking the log file
I find an entry that says "0x8007052e: Logon failure: unknown user name or
bad password." I have never used a password on the system and up till a few
days ago all the scheduled tasks ran fine. I know the user name is correct.
Since I am the only one using the system I would like to avoid having to log
on with a password just to get my tasks to run. Any help or suggestions
would be appreciated.

Hi Phil,
to run a scheduled task without passwords, for WinXP Pro,go to:
Start/Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Local Security Policy/Local
Policies/Security options. In the right hand pane (third down)
Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console logon
only. This is enabled by default, disable it.
