Task Request Reminders - Newbie needs help

I am running a small VB application that allows a user to
send a task request through Outlook to another user. All
goes well, except I cannot seem to set the reminder date /
time.

Is it possible to set reminders on Task Requests, or can
reminders only be set locally by the Owner of the Task?
 
TaskRequestItem does not have ReminderSet or ReminderTime as a
TaskItem does.
