Task Manager

Task Manager only stays on screen a few seconds and disappears. I have tried all 4 methods of bringing up task manager, right clicking on the too bar, control-alternate-delete, control-shift-escape, and run Taskmng. None of these work. Also, sometimes I have the same problem with Norton Anti Virus program, it stays on screen only a few seconds and disappears. When Norton Anti-Virus stays up I cannot download updates.

it sounds like a virus is on your computer. If I remember
correctly, the swen virus would shut down task manager and
regedit. If you can get online, go to
housecall.antivirus.com this is Microtrends free antivirus
program. Run a scan on your drive and see if it is a
virus.
