Task manager

I am running XP home and I am unable to open the task
manager with ctl-atl-del or right click on the bar. I am
also logged in admin account. Any ideas?

There are two utilities you need to run.
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_emerutils.htm

This creates renamed copies of Task Manager, Regedit and MSCONFIG in the
C:\EmergencyUtils folder. Use those, rather than the built in utilities.
Then use: http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_starttrack.htm and post the
entire log, not just the running processes.

For some reason when I try to install your utility
Taskmgr1.exe does not install but the other 2 programs

You may have to add the /F parameter before the program name to forcefully
kill it. Usually these bugs won't go down without a fight.
