I hope this is the right sub-forum.

Quick question:

Under the Performance Tab in Task Manager, in the window
that shows CPU Usage History, I get a GREEN and a RED
line...what do they represent? I can guess what the GREEN
line represents...but, what about the RED line? Why are
there two lines - and does the RED line mean something is
wrong?

Thank you.

That means your processor is overheating and about to fail. Okay, just
kidding! The red represents kernel times. If you click View--Show Kernel
Times, it will go back to being just an all-green bar. What does this mean
exactly? You got me. I personally have it set to show kernel times,
because I like the Christmas effect. That's all it means to me. :]
