What does it mean when the CPU monitor shows a red line in conjunctin with a green line? I have a 4-CPU machine that consistently shows the CPU monitor that way, and it is not under a constant load of more than 4-6% CPU usage. Any ideas? All help is greatly appreciated.

The red line is 'Kernel Times'; you can turn it off by pulling down
the 'View' menu when 'Processes' is the currently selected view and
unselecting 'Show Kernel Times'.
