Task Manager Missing parts

Whenever I click CONTROL-ALT-DELETE, the Task Manager comes up,
appropriately populated with all open programs. However, there is nothing
above the box containing the listing of open programs. No minimize or Close
(X) boxes. And no "title" saying Task Manager. I have no way to minimize or
close the box, since there is nothing to click on. This just happened in the
past week or so. The only way to completely eliminate the Task Manager box
from the screen (short of hiding it behind something else) is to shut down
the computer. Any suggestions as to the cause or the fix?

It's a pity you didn't read this group for 24 hours or so before
posting, as is supposed to be Usenet practice. This question gets
answered just about daily.

Double-click in the gray border.

Double-click in the gray border.

Or, press ALT-F4.

It sounds like you're running Task Manager in "Small Footprint
Mode." Simply double-click anywhere along the top or side borders to
return to a normal view. Alternatively, pressing <Ctrl>+<Tab> will
allow you to cycle between the various displays, and <Alt>+<F4> will
close it.
