Task Manager in W2000

Task Manager disabled by administrator. I have
administrator access to my PC. Can you tell me how to re-
enable task manager for normal users?

If your administrator did a good job of scripting, you
probably won't be able to while on the company network.

As for being Administrator on your own machine, I have run
into that snafu before while out contracting. They may say
you are Admin but still have certain features disabled
(and they don't even realize it!) The complexity of
permissions makes it difficult for even the most
experienced adminstrators to keep track--unless the
company is willing to invest in some 3rd party Net
Management software.

Have you tried physically unplugging the LAN cable from
the workstation and booting up as a stand-alone machine?
Then create the same user/password you use on the Server
to create a local policy.

Test it stand-alone, then plug back onto the LAN and test
it. This is all off the top of my head, but it's what I'd
try.

Hope that helps! John
