task manager doesn't display properly

I have Windows XP Home SP2, and whenever I hit Ctrl/Alt/Del, or right-click
on the status bar and click on Task Manager, all I can see of the Task
Manager box is the bottom of it where it says End Task/Switch To/New Task.
The only way I can close it is to right-click on the icon in the system tray
and click on Close. Is there any way to fix this?

Sounds like you have it running in the tiny footprint mode. Double click the
border of task manager & it should appear normally then.

Sounds like you have it running in the tiny footprint mode. Double click
the
border of task manager & it should appear normally then.
