Task Manager disabled

Dear all,

In my XP task manager and logoff is disabled by itslef, I used to get logoff
and Taskamanager before, but now one more strange thing happend, like - I am
unable to disconnect my internet connection(dial up).
I don't know whats wrong on this, I am the only one who using this pc.
pls advise

As the first step, I would run an antivirus program with the up to date
virus bases, and an anti-adware program (for example, Lavasoft AdAware,
