task manager disabled

Could someone please help me - my computer says
that "task manager" has been disabled by the
administrator BUT i haven't changed it so how can i
enable task manager again. Please help

Exactly how did you "change" it so you can enable task manager again? Is
your computer a member of a domain? If so, are you a domain
administrator?

You haven't really provided enough information for anyone to be able to
assist you.

Click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

Look in the right pane for a value called DisableTaskMgr. If it exists, it
should be set to 0 (zero). If not, double click it and set it to 0. If it
doesn't exist, right click in a blank area of the right pane and select New,
DWord value. Name it DisableTaskMgr and leave it set at 0.

Are you sure the machine is not infected ?
Disabled admin tools is a prime symptom for some
of the recent malware on the loose.
