Task list sharing and assigning as co-owner

I am the co-owner of my boss' task list with full permission. However,
whenever I try to assign tasks from his task list to individuals, it denies
me "the permission to send on behalf of the specified user". After I click OK
the task appears on his task list under the assignees name but does not
appear in the recipient's email for acceptance or denial. Updates do not
appear either. How do I make this work?

Ask your boss to do to Tools | Options | Delegate and make you a delegate. Or, ask the Exchange administrator to give Send On Behalf Of permission.
