Task bar

I have two files that continue to show up in the active
task area in my task bar. Does anyone know how to remove
these files?

What are they?

If they're programs that start at startup you can either get hold of
msconfig.exe from an XP or Me box or navigate to the run value(s) in both
the HKLM and HKCU hives.
