Task bar view

The heading at the top of the screen only shows the first letter of the site
i am in. This is also shown on the task bar at the bottom of the screen. Any
ideas anyone?

Title Bar Truncation
Title bar may contain garbage characters
Title bar truncated to 1 character.

Do you have the Google Desktop bar installed?
If so, try uninstalling/reinstalling it.
It has been reported to sometimes produce truncation of the title bar
text.

I found a previous discussion on this suggesting uninstalling google
toolbar....sorted out the problem
