Task Bar in SP2 Takes up 2 Rows

As soon as I installed SP2 on my XP Pro machine, my task bar doubled in size
and now takes up two rows at the bottom of my screen.

It will not let me make it smaller - 2 rows now seems to be the minimum.

Is there a way round this?
 
I already did that.

I have sorted it out. It didn't like my quick launch toolbar. When I
removed it, it let me resize. I ten had to add teh toolbar back in
manually.

Those sort of glitches can usually be fixed with system restore - but not
just after installing SR2 though <vbg>
