task bar icon

Oliver K Lewis

An icon "hp" appears on the task bar and blinks at the rate of about 30 per
minute.
If I touch it with the pointer, it goes away.
All other icons are hidden and are normal.
I do have three Hp printers and an HP scanner connected.

How can I get rid of this icon?

Go to: Start/Run/type MSCONFIG and click Enter. Now click the Startup tab.
Uncheck the HP entry, there may be several. Click Apply and Close. Reboot.
