Task Bar Doesn't show

I have Office XP.

Until recently when I open Excel the task pane is
displayed. There is a check in the <Startup Task Pane>
in the View tab of <Options>. Also I have
TaskPaneController.dot in the <Word> startup folder.
What can I do to get the task pane to start showing up
again?

Thanks anyway.
I came across a file that just needs to be downloaded
during the install it knows what folder to install its
self in.

This is a lot simpler.
