(sorry if you have already read this - it went in wrong board)

On another thread someone suggested the best way to transfer Office 2003 is
to install it from the cds. I am wondering what order to do things to get the
license transferred
1. Install on new
2. Use settings transfer wizard (which will also transfer the internet
connection (?))
3. Uninstall on old
4. Activate on new.
I would really like to know how the license is transferred. I cannot have
both old and new on the internet at the same time.

You don't need to have both computers online. The uninstall is not recorded.
Your license is not transferred by an automatic process. Just install your
Office on the new PC, then do the right thing and uninstall it on the old
PC. Attempt to activate over the web. It may well work. If you get a message
about "key already in use" or something similar, you should also get
instructions on how to contact MS for resolution.
