File with xla extension takes too long to open. Any idea why and how to fix
this problem?

Thanks!

That XLA extension means it is an Add-in file.

ALL add-ins or just one particular add-in?

Which add-in would it be?

An Excel default add-in or a third-party?

It is a file a user is trying to export from Visual Basic to excel. When it
is exported...user gets issue with saving it or opening it....it takes too
long. Sometimes it works sometimes it does not.

You mean Visual Basic as in Visual Basic 6.0 or similar.

I know nothing about exporting VB files to Excel.

Not even sure it is possible.

If you mean an Excel add-in with Visual Basic for Applications macros and
functions, why would he be trying to export it to Excel?

Add-ins are designed to work through Excel, not something you export to
Excel.

I know nothing about exporting VB files to Excel.

I'm not even sure what a "VB file" might be.
