take long time to logon to domian account

I found that the duration of logging on to domain account
was relatively longer than that of logging on to the
localhost account. But it's only for XP. What makes this?
And how to solve it? Thanks a lot!
 
Is the DNS in XP pointing to the server that is hosting your AD namespace?
