I started a new site with the three table format, top, left and bottom. Can
anybody instrcut me as to how I can fill the left and bottom table with color?

I am trying to fill with a blue color and then add interactive buttons on
the left, the bottom has copyright. I am trying to leave the center area
without color or white in color.

Right-click on the table, choose table properties and select a background
color.

Actually I have 4 tables, content header (pasted banner), content footer
(copyright), and 2 content bodies. The left one is longer and thinner and
this is where I planned it to be blue with interactive buttons.

The left center body is the one I want white to place main content of index.
Can this be done? Or because of this format either everyting must be blue or
another color?

Did you try just clicking on the table you want to change the color of and
looking at take properties? is there a URL where we can see this?

Yes, I clicked in the left content table, then right clicked and chose table
properties. I am working on this now, so it is not online. Perhaps my
explaination is misleading, I opened Fp 03 and chose "create a new normal
page". The layout tables and cells pane opened on the right and I chose
"header, body, footer and left" table layout.

For the header I pasted a page banner I created with fireworks. The footer
has copyright verbage. The left I wanted the interactive buttons. The center
has homepage content.

I am trying to get the left and footer the same color blue, body white
(which it already is) and the header is the page banner. So, left clicking on
either the left or footer and then right-clicking and choosing table
properties, then background/color will change all parts (left/body/footer)
of white with blue.

sounds like you're talking about *frames* not tables. Please clarify.
