table of figures

I have a nice looking table of figures. Some listings look like:

Fig 6.4. Example of seasonal cycle.
A) January
B) July

Fig 6.5. Another example.

But what I want is that the lines A) ... and B) ... are lined up with the
text above, that is with "Example of seasonal cycle". If I put tab, or just
spaces in front of A) and B) in order to line up the lines, I get a BLUE line
in front of A) and B). Somewhere there is a setting that if I want to add
spaces, or TAB in list of figures, to fill that up with blue lines. How can I
switch that off, and how can I set the default TAB in table of figures to
e.g. 1cm so that the text will line up?

Hi =?Utf-8?B?RnJhbmsgRHJvc3Q=?=,

Is this a blue wavy line, or just a blue line? In which version of Word?

Is Change Tracking turned on for this document?

Well, the answer to your specific question is that your table of figures
style needs to have a hanging indent. But that will also require that there
be line breaks at the ends of the first couple of lines. Are you creating
the TOF using the Insert | Reference | Index and Tables feature? If so,
there's a limit to how much formatting you can do as long as the TOF is
still linked to the figure captions.

As for the blue lines, do you have Track Changes enabled? Or, if the TOF is
hyperlinked, this could be traces of Hyperlink character style formatting
showing up.
