How do I create a traditional TOC in PowerPoint? From what I have read it
appears that it can not be done. Is this correct?

You can create a "summary slide". Go to Slide Sorter view. Select all slides
(CTRL + A). Find the Summary Slide icon and click on it. It looks like three
little pages with an arrow pointing to a larger page. If you can't find it, go
to View > Toolbars and make sure the Slide Sorter toolbar is highlighted in the
list.

Slide #1 will be inserted and will include a list of all of the title
placeholders on the slides. If your slides don't use the slide title
placeholder, the list won't be very useful.
