table help

I'm using regular tables in my page design, NOT the layout tables. Why does
FP 2003 keep converting my regular tables to layout tables? I don't want to
use the layout tables.
 
Right click on the table
Choose Properties
Select "Disable Layout tools"

At the bottom of the dialogue
Check "Set as default for new tables"

Click OK
 
Thanks. I tried to disable layout tools but it always seems to become
enabled for some reason. I had not checked to set as default for new tables
though.
