Table header.

I created a table in the word, first row contains headings for the columns.
when I add the data to the table and flow to next page I want that column
headings shoud show up there. My question is what do I need to do to see that
first row in every page of the document. I know in excel we just select the
option rows/columns to repeat. Don't know how to do in word. Any help is
appreciated.

Click anywhere in the first row, and then click the menu command Table >
Heading Rows Repeat.

If you wanted more than one row to repeat, you'd select those rows before
clicking the command.

I have tried that numerous times and I still cannot get the header row to
repeat on the new pages. Any suggestions?

Make sure the table is a single table (not split by page breaks or
intervening paragraphs). Make sure that the table is not wrapped (Table
Properties | Table | Text wrapping: None). If the table has nested
components, there may be a problem (not sure about this). Make sure that the
row you're selecting is the top row of the table. Make sure you're viewing
the table in Print Layout view.
