Tab-key order for text-fields inside scheme?

O

oystlars

Hello I scanned a scheme with text-fields and I am using it as a
background in a word document.

As I want to use the scheme-function in word, I have added text-boxes
(to accurately fit the textfields to the scanned background) with
scheme-text-fields inside of the boxes.

The problem is;

Using the tab-key to move between the boxes is a pain in the ass, as
one have to press tab 2 times to move between the first two fields,
then 4 times to move to the next field, then 4 times to move to the
next field, etc..

How can I change tab-key-sequence/order?

The document can be found here:

Thanks,
Øystein

I don't know what you mean by a "scheme"? Do you mean, perhaps, a form
(as in a document where information needs to be filled in)?

Assuming I'm interpreting this correctly, try using FRAMES (a button
that can be found in the FORMS toolbar) to position the form fields
(text boxes from the same toolbar). Once you protect the document as a
form, using TAB should move from form field to form field with one
press.

Well, I don't know if you have downloaded the document referred to
above. The problem was that I had to press tab several times before
getting to the next form field.

This is what had happened:
- I inserted frames, and then put form fields inside of the frames.
- But; I had somehow managed to put several fields inside 1 frame, but
resized the frame to fit only one.
- As I pressed TAB I moved from field 1 to field 2 then to field 3, but
of course, field 2 and 3 doesn't show, and that's why I had to press
TAB several times to get to the next (visible) form field..

Now I removed the hidden fields and TAB works ok!

Thanks anyway:)

No. As a general rule, I won't d/l and view documents (unless I'm being
paid to). The dangers these days are just too great...

Glad you figured it out and that things are up and running!
