Tab Control Pages not linked

Barb Kelleher

Hey, All!
Does anyone know why individual tab control pages in a form would not link
properly? I have each of 3 pages set with master/ child links but when I
change the first one the second and third stay on the data from the first
page. I have a form with 2 subforms set up the same way and it works fine.
Thanks,
Befuddled Barb

Hi Barb,
a tab control is a way of splitting up your data for viewing, but spread
over several tabs instead of one. The tab control does not have its own data
source in the same way that forms and subforms do.

If you want each tab control to show data from a different table or query,
you need to put a different subform on each page of the tab control.

When you are using a tab control, the form the tab control sits on is the
parent or main form and the subforms are linked (or not) to the parent or
main form. There is no linking with the tab control.
