sytem restore and failure

after using system restore to return to an older version of software, the
software no longer opened and showed that the file itself was empty (0 bytes)
, i tried to undo the restore and now i can no longer do that or restore to
any earlier time at all, and other program icons are no longer showing on the
computers screen, is there any other way to restore to a time from 3 days ago?

You should not expect System Restore to restore deleted or damaged files. It
is a way to go back to earlier settings in the Registry. I think it probable
that you would do better using the 'sfc /scannow' command, or use the
"Repair' setup option.

Hi,

Try using a restore point just prier to the undo restore point. This can
also be performed from Safe Mode.
