Ok, maybe someone can tell me how this happened.
Here is the senario. Type and command that ends in exe and is in the
system32 folder and I receive "Access is Denied" Plus it shows the command as
xxxxx.com.
Nope, it is not what you think, i.e. unhook.inf, pathexe incorrect. Any more
guesses?
And this is what I am trying to get the answer on, because it isn't supposed
to happen.
What I found was not one but two System32 folders under Windows, in Explorer.
At the cmd or command, it only shows one. But there is more. I actually
explored the FAT table and guess what, it is there also. Once it was deleted,
all worked well. Keep in mind that this messed up other programs also.
So how could this have happened, What could have done this, and WHY didn't
they OS stop it from happening. Is this a trend of something new that is or
will be going around?
Your comments are welcome. Even your thoughts on this, as I am baffled how
this is even possible.
