i seem to have somehow acquired a trojan virus in my
System32/system32 file. is there any way to get rid of
it without having to do a complete system resotore? I
tried the quick system restore option, but the computer
was unable to complete the process. any help would be
much appreciated!
Chris

You should have the following as prime anti-virus/trojan/adware utilities on
your computer. They are both free and updated on a regular basis.

Spybot search and destroy and adaware 6. Find them through google.

Unfortunately, neither of these is an antivirus/anti-trojan program.

I generally don't recommend specific AV programs, as they all have problems.
My personal choice is Panda Antivirus, http://www.pandasoftware.com, but
others will have other recommendations.
