i already tried this website...

System32 Folder Opens Upon Boot -line 260 left

i went and downloaded the stuff and installed it to...
(while i was doing this it said to put in the Internet
Explorer CD or something like that... but I donwloaded it
from the net...)

i also went to the website below yet understood about two
words in the entire file, which doens'st help me at all

someone please tell me what to do before i crash my PC

IE is also on yr winXP installation disk, try running the Kellys file and
inserting the Winxp disk when it asks.
If you dont understand the MS KB article it might be better if you enlisted
the help of someone who does, as editing the registry can have fatal
consequences.

the problem is that the xp program came with the computer
and so i don't have the disk

It may be that there is a hidden recovery partition for xp on yr hd. You
need to check with yr supplier, I believe, also, that some suppliers charge
for the xp recovery cd and dont supply by default.
You really NEED either a recovery cd or the winxp installation disk. Not
having one can lead to all sorts of fatal problems.
