system32 folder

When I boot my windows 2000 the system32 folder screen
appears on my desktop. I believe I was online when all
this started a couple days ago. I can close it and it
doesn't re-appear untill I restart. How do I stop that?

Usually a damaged or otherwise corrupt "Run" key value.
