System32 Folder Popping Up

When I open My Computer, it defaults to the System32
folder.

Also sometimes when I open certain (most) webpages, My
Computer pops open as well.

I thought it could be a virus or spyware, so i ran the
appropriate software, but turned up nothing.

Any ideas? suggestions? settings i changed by accident
or something?

Upon Boot". Download this repair file and then run the repair.

It's always helpful to search the group prior to posting. "System32"
yields dozens of hits here. Also click on Kelly's link, below. Click "S"
and scroll down to your topic.

Unfortunately that didn't work. It says "this script
cannot repair your issue. the expected Registery value was
not found"
I am running windows XP.
