After start up on XP the system32 folder does not
automatically close and requires to be closed manually.
How do I ensure system32 programs running properly and
make system automatically close system32 folder?

Visit http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and scroll down
to Item No. 260. In the right column, click on "System32 Folder Opens
Upon Boot". Download this repair file and then run the repair.

Start - Run and run MSConfig.exe

In the Startup pane, look for a 'Command' that is not a proper path and
..exe (and if it is and uses Program Files has no quotes around. Eg a
legitimate line would be
"C:\Program Files\joe\soap.exe"

If you find something that looks wrong, uncheck it. Recently a common
case is a line
/L:Eng
which appears associated with recent drivers for Creative Audigy cards

After OK, don't bother to reboot, but next time you do there will be a
box reminder,a nd you should check the 'don't show again' and OK to exit
it
