System went corrupt, How can I get Documents off Old HDD from new HDD

I am running two 80Gb HDs SOmehow I managed to crash
Windows on both of them. I am now running off of a 40Gb,
and would like to know how to get past the access denied
messages when I try to get to my documents on my 80Gb HDs.

I need some of those files very badly.

Ryan,

Just in order that you get accurate assistance;What were
the cirucumstances preceeding both crashes?
You mention that you are getting an "access denied"
message when trying to "get to my documents"-does that
mean that you can now boot into windows on the harddrives
that "crashed"?

Or,are you completely unable to boot into Windows?When in
the boot up sequence are you getting the "access denied"
message?
