system volume information

Have done the required settings, ie, folder options,
enable hidden files, cleared 'Hide protected operating
system files,etc. Still am denied access to System Volume
Information. Have the Win32 PozaB worm in there. It is
contained & not permitted to dial out by my firewall
(ZoneAlarmPro)however, cannot get into file to clean it.
Any suggesstions appreciated. Thank you
 
That folder is where the System Restore file store is maintained. You
cannot access the folder. The only way to remove the worm is to turn off
System Restore. You can turn it back on afterward.

Open Control Panel, open System, go to the System Restore tab, place a check
next to turn off System Restore on all drives, click apply and ok and
reboot. This should clear the infected files. NOTE: this operation will
delete any restore points up to this operation.
