My EZantivirus tells me I have a Trojan in this folder. When I do a scan of
the folder there appear to be no files in it. Is it a real folder? I've
tried to open it and Windows stops me.

1) Google is your friend.

2) It's not your folder, only 'SYSTEM' user has any rights to it at all.
an administrator can fix that (and subsequently screw the system).

3) 99/100 times all you need to do it turn off system restore, reboot,
and re-enable it, since the viruses are normally in restore points.

groups.coogle.com 'windows XP remove virus in system restore folder' or
similar.
