System Tray Icon

I'm sorry if this has already been covered but I did my best to search
through the posts...

It seems that if I restart my system, the real-time protection loads just
fine (I see the processes in the task manager) but no icon loads in the
system tray. If I go to the start menu and open the program manually, it
also indicates that the real-time protection is running, but still no
icon in the tray. Finally, if I go to the general settings and tell it to
hide the system tray icon and then tell it to unhide (sometimes this
works with other programs), it STILL doesn't show up.

I've noticed, however, that if I log out and then log back in without a
restart, the icon usually shows up. Is there anyway to make the icon show
up in the system tray manually? Should I continue to use my workaround?
Should I reinstall AntiSpyware and see if that helps?

Suggestions please!!!

Reinstalling might help. Before you try that, you might try:

Start, control panel, add or remove program, Microsoft Antispyware, change,
update
and see if that does the job.

You are definitely seeing a bug, and one that comparatively few people see.
