System transfer

Is there a way, to tranfer the 'system' and, all files/programs in XP
Pro w/o having to do it manually when, the new drive shows up as SCSI ID
#0 and, the old drive shows up and SCSI ID #1?

Hi Christopher,

Seems to me you left out a couple of details. Did you get a new drive and install it in the first slot on your motherboard?
Are you simply trying to copy the contents of the old drive to the new?

Hard drive manufacturers usually provide a software program that helps in tranferring contents of the old unit to the new one.
The program is not run in Windows, but by booting from bootable media provided by the manufacturer.

In what order, and how is your "old drive" physically hooked up?
