My .bkf file that is generated using the NTBackup utility
is closing in on 16 Gig. If there is only about 4 Gig of
Data on my DC, why has this file gotten so large? I do
have it backing up ONLY System State every night.
If anyone can lend a hand, that would be great. My OS &
Data files are backed up using TSM nightly.

Thanks...Angelo

You have unintentionally specified "Append to my media". This is the
default, and it's not immediately obvious how to change it. When you get
to the "Completing the Backup Wizard" window, you'll see the append option
listed under "How". Click the Advanced button, then Next, then Next. You
should now be at "Media Options". Select "Replace the data on the media
....", then click Next until you return to the "Completing the Backup
Wizard" window. Stuff like this is the reason people buy third-party
backup programs.
