Hello,

After being away from the computer a few hours I came back and found
the following message:

"SYSTEM STANDBY FAILED

The device driver for the 'HP PS2 Keyboard (2k-3)' device is
preventing the machine from entering standby. Please close all
applications and try again. If the problem persists, you may need to
update this driver."

I have a HP a410n computer running Win XP. I believe Service Pack 1
is installed.

Can anyone advise how to correct this problem. I don't want to do a
system restore if possible since I just did some major cleaning up and
wiping on the hard drive.

Thanks, Harry

Your keyboard driver may need to be updated.
You should get the updated driver from Hewlett Packard website.
Otherwise, you should disable the standby mode for your system.
Hibernate mode probably have the same problem.
