System Shutdown - NOT SASSER WORM!! (pleae help)

hello i am having a problem on my computer and i cannot find any
resolution on the internet. When I am on my computer, it runs slow for
a few minutes. Then randomly, it brings up the system shutdown message
with the timer. This is best known from the Sasser Worm, so i
downloaded and ran the cleaner. to my surprise, the tool found no
traces. i also tried the lovesan removal and the windows removal tool,
but the problem still persists. i thought that it was possibly a system
folder corruption so i performed a repair on the windows drive but the
problem still persists. If anybody has any help for me I am willing to
post logs or whatever. I know that the worst case is a reformat, which
I dont have a problem with but would rather do this. thank you

Use System Restore to go back to a point well before this
problem started.

If it is the same situation I had and eventually it will not load Windows at
all. I found a great tip for that as you can not use the systems restore, of
you can not get in. TIP hold down the escape key or rather tap it gently as
it loads. Also, if you can still get in try in safe mode to install to a
previous time it loaded OK (it says something like that you will see). If it
is not a virius or a work, then why is everybody having the same problem..

I cant restore it due to me repairing the windows folder. as for the
escape key trick i want ot know if this problem can be fixed not hacked
to work. any help out there.

also the problem still persists in safe mode and last good windows
confguration. can anybody help me
