System revocery

I had an earlier post at 8:04 nov 25. The remidies there
did not correct my problem.
I am missing the System Recovery tab in the control
panel, system properties.
I try to run system recovery from another location and I
get "The Procedure Entry Point remote assistance prepare
system restore could not be located in the dynamic link
library winsta.dll"

You can turn it off from Control Panel > System > and then
re-boot and it will purge it's file. Then re-boot, turn it
back on.
And try this if the above does not work.

1. Put the in the Windows XP CD
2. Click Start , Run
3. Type the following then OK

rundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection
C:\Windows\Inf\sr.inf


You can also open Windows Explorer, go to
C:\Windows\Inf folder and right-click sr.inf (Then Install)

Maybe I was not clear, there is NO place that I see to
turn system recover on or off!

maybe i was not clear, i do not see system recovery
anyplace nor some place to turn it on and off
I get a pop up "Error in advpack.dll Missing
entry:launchINFSection"
When I go to windows explorer there is no sr.inf

are you logged in as administrator? if not do this and see if the tab
appears

How do I check that?
I have only one log in name available.

right click on my computer. select manage then select users and groups.
either you are logging in as "administrator" or the name you have setup as a
user to log in with is a member of the administrator group

I see no users and groups
i have computer management (local) under that system
tools,storage, services and applications with things to
open under each of them.
I do see where my sign in name is listed as Owner.

if I go into the control panel and open up "user
accounts" it gives the name of my account with
administrator next to it.
