System retart when performing scan works

My system shut down & restart by itself everytime I do a scanning either with
Norton or Adware program. After restarted, error message "system encounter
fatal error...." Has anybody got any clue? Pls help. I ever experience when
trying to load a game software and the system hangs, I have to shut down
manually to get out. Wonder if there is anything to do with insufficent
power supply or OS problem??

Hi Dan,
You may going to the Unreversable way?, try to Open your Event Viewers and
see hwo many Error Messages you have from Apps/System, back up your Data on
Removable CD/DVD you may need to do clean Install if there is no cure to your
situation.
If you install a new Hardware/Software, try unistall it and see if the
problem still come back.
Do you have enough RAM and Disk space for the hungry games?
Be sure that your cable are fitted firmly on the back of your Case.

P.S and what make you suddenly do a Scan?, try it in Safe Mode
