ASR is used in conjunction with NTBackup and is stored off
your system normally. It is a backup of what you choose to
restore in case of a system failure. Will not work with XP
Home edition.

copy/backup program to make a clone. XP-Casper is one.

un-plug the power to the drive if you want.
